Duties of the Emir of the Region and His Deputy
Representing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the region.
Managing the region according to the general policy of the state and in accordance with this system and other regulations and laws.
Maintaining security, order, and stability, and taking necessary measures in accordance with laws and regulations.
Ensuring the rights and freedoms of individuals, and not taking any action that violates these rights and freedoms except within the limits prescribed by Sharia and law.
Working on the social, economic, and urban development of the region.
Working on the development of public services in the region.
Preserving state funds and properties.
Supervising government agencies and their employees.
Direct communication with ministers and heads of departments to discuss regional matters and improve the efficiency of the related agencies.
Ensuring the proper administration of justice in the region.
Working to maintain security and stability in the region.
Providing all services to the residents of the region in cooperation and coordination with government agencies and participating in the planning stages of all services.
