On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah Region, and Chairman of the Makkah Region Development Authority, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Emir of Makkah Region, chaired the meeting of the Authority in the presence of His Excellency Eng. Ibrahim Al-Sultan, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers, and Chairman of the Center for Supporting Development Authorities, along with a number of members of the Council.
The meeting discussed the agenda items, which included the roadmap for developing the Authority’s institutional operations. It also reviewed the progress achieved in the Region’s strategy and the investment initiatives aimed at promoting private sector participation in development projects.
The Board was briefed on the Geospatial Development System Project, the Urban Observatory’s work, the regional and local master plans, the greening and vegetation cover strategy, as well as the design guidelines and architectural manuals reflecting the Saudi architectural identity, in addition to several development projects across the region.
the Deputy Emir of the Makkah Region also witnessed the signing of a cooperation memorandum between the Authority and Zaya Real Estate Development Company, aiming to strengthen partnerships with the private sector and contribute to sustainable development projects that enhance the quality of life in the region.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Board extended its gratitude and appreciation to the wise leadership – may Allah preserve it – for its continuous support and attention to the region’s development projects. The Board reaffirmed its commitment to implementing the adopted recommendations and decisions in a way that meets the aspirations of the leadership and citizens, and contributes to improving the quality of life across all governorates of the Makkah Region.
